LEATHER

Cleaning:

The best way to clean your leather bag is with a damp cloth (only with water, avoid using soaps). Gently rub the stain in circular motions and let it air dry; never apply direct heat to it.

Care:

  • Moisturize it with neutral moisturizing cream 1 or 2 times a year.

  • Always store it in a protective cover, preferably cotton.

  • Fill the bag with newspaper to prevent it from losing its shape.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for prolonged periods.

  • Store it in a dry place; it is important to keep it away from moisture.

TIP! If your bag gets stained with oil, apply talcum powder to the stain and let it sit for a couple of hours. Remove it with a soft brush.

SUEDE

Cleaning:

Suede is a very delicate material, so if it gets stained, you must avoid using water and/or soap, as it would set the stain. Let the stain dry, and brush it with a soft-bristled brush, always against the grain of the suede.

Care:

  • Apply a special leather protective spray 1 or 2 times a year.

  • Always store it in a protective cover, preferably cotton.

  • Fill the bag with newspaper to prevent it from losing its shape.

  • Remove scuff marks by gently brushing them with fine-grit sandpaper.

  • Store it in a dry place; it is important to keep it away from moisture.

TIP! If your stain is persistent, try using an eraser. Gently rub and say goodbye to the stain forever.

NYLON

Cleaning:

The best way to clean a nylon bag is with water and neutral soap. Fill a bucket with warm water and neutral soap, and submerge the bag in it for an hour. Then, take it out, and if there are any remaining stains, gently rub them with a cloth. Finally, rinse it thoroughly with water.

Care:

  • Clean your bag 1 or 2 times a month to extend its lifespan.

  • Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight to keep its color intact.

  • Always store it in a protective cover, preferably cotton.

  • Never put your nylon bag in the dryer; air dry it instead.

  • Store it in a dry place; it is important to keep it away from moisture.

TIP! To remove a persistent stain, moisten a toothbrush and gently scrub.

SYNTHETICS

Cleaning:

To clean a synthetic or PU bag, use a damp cloth or sponge. If the stain is not deep, soap or chemicals are not necessary. If the stain persists, use neutral soap and make sure to rinse it off. Dry it well with a cloth.

Care:

  • Always store it in a protective cover, preferably cotton.

  • Never leave your synthetic or PU bag submerged in water, as it could break.

  • Store it in a dry place; it is important to keep it away from moisture.

  • Fill the bag with newspaper to prevent it from losing its shape.

  • Avoid exposing it to the sun for a prolonged time, as it could fade its color.

TIP! To remove pen stains, you can use a cloth dampened with milk. Gently rub in circular motions.

RAFFIA AND NATURAL FIBERS

Cleaning:

Cleaning a raffia bag is very simple: if you want to remove a stain quickly, make a mixture of water and salt and gently rub it with a cloth, then let it air dry. When rubbing, always do it in the direction of the raffia grain.

Care:

  • Clean your bag 1 or 2 times a month, especially after taking it to the beach.

  • If it gets wet, let it air dry; never expose it to direct heat.

  • Always store it in a protective cover, preferably cotton.

  • Avoid storing it in a damp place, as mold may appear.

  • Air it out from time to time to prevent it from absorbing unwanted odors.

TIP! After a day at the beach, you can use a vacuum cleaner to remove sand and dust.
